Sculpture in the Harbour Easter 2017 - Photo Competition

We are running a photography competition with prizes for all ages during Easter 2017.

The Sculpture in the Harbour 2017 Photo Competition is running over the Easter Long Weekend, and photos entered must feature the exhibition or its exhibits.

Our Prizes are:

  • $250 for Junior Photo - Open to Under 16s
  • $250 for People's Choice - Open to All
  • $500 for Best Photo - Open to 16 and over

So if you are a keen photographer then come on down to Princess Royal Harbour (down by the Entertainment Centre), look at some great art and snap away.

Photography Competition - Terms & Conditions

  1. By participating, in this promotion entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  2. The promotion commences on Thursday April 13 to concluding Wednesday April 18 at 5pm. Entries close Wednesday April 18 at 5pm.
  3. Entry is open to all residents of Western Australia. The senior category is open to anyone over the age of 16. The junior category is open to anyone under the age of 16. Winners under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian when claiming and collecting their prize. Photographic identification may be required upon collection of the prize. The parent or guardian of a prize winner under the age of 18 may be required to show identifi cation.
  4. A valid entry consists of a high resolution (300DPI) photographs featuring the exhibition or its exhibits along with a description of the photograph, full name, address and telephone number emailed to news@albanyadvertiser.com or delivered in person to 165 York St, Albany
  5. Photographs submitted must be the entrant’s own original work and must not have been published previously or been obtained from a secondary source.
  6. Photographs that feature any corporate advertising material or messages will be disqualified from entry.
  7. All entries will be judged and rated on photographic merit by a panel from the Albany Advertiser and New Arts. The judge’s decision is final and cannot be contested.
  8. The prizes include $500 for Best Photo, $250 for People’s Choice and $250 for Junior Photo.
  9. The winners will be selected on Tuesday April 18 and notified within 24 hours.
  10. Prizes will be available for collection from relevant sponsors.
  11. Photos entered may be used in print or online by the Albany Advertiser and New Arts as promotional material for the exhibition.
  12. West Australian Newspapers Limited Group and New Arts accept no responsibility for any loss, damage, accident, death or injury resulting from the promotion.
  13. Entry into this competition signifies acceptance of all conditions. The Promoter’s decision will be final and cannot be contested. No correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter reserves the right to limit entry or amend rules if considered necessary without notice.
  14. Employees of West Australian Newspapers Limited Group and their associated agencies and immediate families, are ineligible to enter.
